Clear warning from the police - citizens must stay away from hazardous areas

We are currently entering the most hectic part of the storm surge, where the water is starting to rise significantly. There is a clear warning from the police that all unauthorised individuals should stay away from the vulnerable areas where the water is rising - this applies, for example, to the areas along the water tubes at the harbour in Aabenraa. Furthermore, the police issue a general call for people not to unnecessarily head towards the affected coasts and harbours in the municipality. 

These areas are unsafe and the emergency services do not have the resoures to both keep the water away Aabenraa city and keep curious citizens away from areas where they may be at risk. 

If you need to be outdoors, do so with caution and stay away from the most vulnerable areas. There are reports of fallen trees in several places, so the police encourage you to drive carefully and according to the weather conditions.
