They are still actively implementing measures at the harbour to prevent water from entering Aabenraa city. Below you can see a map of areas that will be flooded if the forces of nature prove too strong and the water cannot be held back. The map is based on a worst case scenario with a water level of 2,27 meter above normal, allowing potentially affected parties to prepare accordingly. The forecasts as of today have ranged between 2,05 m. and 2,14 m.

SELF-HELP

A sand depot is also being set up in Skarrev ina Parking lot at Østerkrogsforte and Skarkær, where you can collect sand and sandbags with your own shovel and trailer. It is still possible to pick up sand and sandbags at the fire station in Aabenraa, at Arena Aabenraa's parking lot, and at the entrance to Loddenhøj Strand. 

ASSISTANCE FOR EMERGENCY RESPONSE

From friday afternoon, Møllemærsk should be kept clear so that emergency services can access the areas where efforts to hold back the water masses will culminate. We encourage everyone to stay away from the affected areas and thereby help create a calm working environment for the emergency services.
