Generel information on COVID-19

In week 37, "Styrelsen for Patientsikkerhed" sent out invitations for the COVID-19 vaccination to all citizens over the age of 85 who live in their own home. The citizen must book an appointment for vaccination either by calling "Region Syddanmark" or by booking an appointment in a self-service solution on "Region Syddanmarks" website. The government has presented a plan for the rest of 2022 regarding the management of increasing COVID-19 infection. This means an opportunity for vaccination of all Danes over the age of 50. In nursing homes and for particularly vulnerable citizens, the effort will be launched in September, while for other citizens it will be launched in October.

For nursing staff in Denmark, two weekly self-tests are launched during the summer, while later in the year, PCR tests are launched every 14 days by the same target group.

What the government's plan actually means for testing and vaccination in Aabenraa Kommune, we will probably be able to announce after the summer holidays, when further information from the Danish Health Authority comes.

On this page, you can still find information about COVID-19, even though the disease is no longer considered a socially critical disease, and even though restrictions associated with COVID-19 have been lifted.

It is still possible to get tested for COVID-19 at the region's test centers, just as it is also still possible to book an appointment for vaccination against COVID-19. The Statens Serum Institut also continues to add the daily overview of the number of infected at the municipal level, which is why daily infection figures also continue to appear.
